THEN USE THESE QUESTIONS TO ADD TO YOUR COUNTING FUN!

1. You counted 1 sausage…how many whales are there?

You counted 1 fly… how many bowls of soup are there? How many spoons?

 

3. Only 1 duck is rollerblading… how many ducks are there altogether?

4. There is 1 worm in disguise… how many worms in all? How many worm eyes?

→ “What did the fairies leave for the child?”

→ “What do you think she left for them?”

→ “What would you leave for a fairy?

5. You counted the 1 giraffe… how many baboons are there? Snakes? Rhinos? Butterflies? Ants?

6. You found the 1 cake! Look at the other pictures in the frames. There is one picture in each, but different numbers of things inside them. For example, there is 1 spider…but how many spider legs? There is 1 hand…but how many fingers on it? How many other things can you count in these frames?

7. There is still just one apple to count… but what do you notice about it that’s different from the apple at the beginning?

8. There are a total of 100 things shown in this book. Can you count them all?
