Spot the S’s: A Saturday Scavenge

Cut a few sticky notes into long, thin strips.

Open your book, Saturday, and flip through each page slowly, hunting for words that start with the letter S (like Saturday, storytime, sisters, special, splendid, sobbed).

Each time you find one, place a sticky note under (or next to) the word.

When you’re done searching, do some counting!

  • How many S words did you find?
  • How many times does the word 'Saturday' appear in the book?
